Life Of Pi - The MOVIE

Today being a Friday, me and Nishok planned a perfect movie date. It turned out to be the best date movie. The movie was about a boy and his extraordinary journey. I was actually late home. The movie was by 9.30 PM and I reached home by 9.15 PM from work. Soon me and Nishok rode to the cinema. On the way to the theatre, I muched out the 3 lovely chappatis rolled in with onion chutney. Nishok is a lovely person who never keeps me hungry or want of anything. Hedoes more than what I need. One such desire of mine was to watch Life of Pi. The movie was a 3D one at FAME. The effects were extraordinary. From the beginning till the end the movie kept me stick to it. I was very thrilled to hear people speaking Tamil here and there. After the ship wreck, the story is taken to a different level. The absolute entertainment piece of the film is when the tiger makes it to the boat and it re entry in the boat. The whole audience was thrown to the back of their seats to see tiger jump on the hyena. The orangkuttan was really sweet. The scenes where Pi changes his name to 'pissin' to 'Pi' really showed the attitude of the boy. He thanked the tiger for saving his life. One may wonder when he tells that. He then said that he was made vigil only by the tiger hence he was alive for a long time. At the end he says another disgusting story to the people from that japanese ship company when yhey didnt believe his actual story. Then the listener says that the story with tiger was better when compared to the second one. Pi replied that even God thought that way. Those lines were touching. Totally an awesome movie. It is a must watch. If u r with a tiger for sometime u can hide from it or fear about it. When is living together with a tiger, you needvyo tame it. God has given that talent to you. Life of Pi is absolutely an adventure with beautiful yet dreadful incidents filled with much needed lessons!

My hubby Bday !

After a long time, I am keen in posting all the left out posts too. I really want to post the pictures taken on the hubby's birthday. 

On his bday, I bought him a cake which was a Lychee flavored cake.After that we both went to office and came home early. The hubby picked up from my office. On our way home we have our good time in cafe coffee day. I refreshed my self there for the rest of the day.  

We ordered drinks and munchies in Coffee day. We had great time talking, laughing, giggling. That was awesome. After that we booked ticket for "OKOK". We were actually seeing it for the third time. We were just reciting the whole film conversation along the actors.

We went to hotel for dinner. We ended the day filling up our stomach.

Weekend Outing

Last weekend, we went to a couple of places to relax. My hubby booked tickets for the movie "3". You know what, we went for morning show after a  long time since Endhiran. That morning, we had huge mug of milo and went to watch the movie.

The movie was fine. The first half was lovey dovey and comedy was in track and entertaining. During interval, we both were more disciplined and didnt go out  to the snacks bar.

Second half of the movie was horrible. We were very hungry and hurried to nearby resturant "Vasantha Bhavan" After having meals and a cup of hot coffee, I clicked few fantastic clicks there. The reception area had vibrant colours.

My hubby loved each of the pictures I took. Rest of the day went on with organising and shopping.

Nanban : A Filmy Review





This Friday, my mom and dad celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary. We planned for a movie night. My brother wanted to take us to Nanban. It was a very close to heart moment when all your loved ones are spending time for some super fun together.

We went to the theatres 10 minutes after the movie started. We were bit disappointed. But the movie was really entertaining. I loved this version of the 3 idiots. Vijay was an opt choice. After a long time, Srikanth has been given a very good character.

Few scenes were very entertaining, like Srivatsan's speech, Vijays attempt to motivate Jiiva's recovery, etc.

Vijay's names in this movie we re unique. Panchavan Paarivandan and Kosakzi Pasapuzhal !! I loved Jiiva's spontaneous answer for "How does an induction motor starts"

Illeana and Anu has done a cute job. Vijay was charming. I am not a big fan of Vijay but I liked his performance in this movie. Satya raj was similar to our Dean in my college.

My dad and mom enjoyed their wedding anniversary being with us and spent our evening with this movie date.

Nanban is worth seeing and better than Hindi version. Music and cinematography were good. Madhan Karky has done a fantabulous job...

2011 Movies I watched - A Rewind

Thank you Nishok and my family esp Krish to give such a company for movie going!

Dragon fancy

Dragons are famous among people who have craze towards Tattoos. right?

On a fine movie night, I and my hubby were watching Hangover II. One of the scenes features a tattoo studio. Only then my hubby revealed his desire to have a dragon design tattooed painted on his chest.  Tattoos are not his thing. And he wanted me to do the same for him. I was thrilled.

The next day, I started collecting dragon designs from the Internet. I chose 2 to 3 in particular. Then I like this one the most. Then I practised the same in my marker board. I snapped the same too.

I bought Mehendi cone when I came home from office. I gave him a sweet suprise when he was back from work. He was smiling and admiring my interest in doing things he love.Finally I drew the dragon design on his chest. He loved my design and he was a happy man.

I always love being with him. We have fun together.These may be petty acts but our bond grows stronger. We enjoy each others' company all day. I treasure these kind of fun and happy moments  in a save chest (my heart) and a copy (sometimes) in this journal.

 

Rain made our day...

As usual, I got ready for work and suddenly my hubbie said he would drop me in my office. I was happy as I like bike rides and being with my man. As we started to work by bike, rain started. It was just drizzles till half way. I was enjoying the climate, talking and laughing enjoying the ride , though we were heading to office.

In few minutes, we were drenched by heavy downpour and was not able to proceed ahead. So we parked the bike side by to the road and stood under my umberlla. After 45 minutes, It was all over and sky was clear. So we started towards my work place.

Again it all started and we decided to go home. When we decided it was nearly noon and headed to Nallas , a resturant we always go when in OMR. We ordered our favourite foods and had a hot, yummy lunch.

We went home. we had rest after escaping work load presure for that day. By evening we booked ticket for a tamil film "Velayudham". We already saw "7am Arivu" so 'no other way' choice is Velayudham. After the film, we clicked few photos with our favorite hero, heroine posters, munched yummy snacks and headed back home.

Activity 100 : Nocturnal Pasta

On a night during our 'movie time' , our tummy asked for something to eat. So I cooked this Saucey spicy Pasta.

A Filmy Day Out

Last week , myself and hubby planned to call an off. We didn't have much of "our" time /Date in recent times, hence the decision. We had few household works and started of our footloose ride round the city.

As usual, we went to Gangotree to have creamy yummy strawberry milkshake. Then we went to Abirami Mall. This was the first time we went there. It was a small mall when compared to EA , Spencers and PVR. It was crowdy too. We decided to watch a movie named "Muran". We had a nice time together and enjoyed each scene together.

Then we came down to have some thing to eat as we didnt pack our lunch. We chose Chennai Noodle House. There were varaities of food outlets. But we chose Chennai Noodle House.

I ordered Chilli Garlic Noodle along with Gobi Manchurian. After placing the order, my hubby rushed to our table with two small papers in hand and gave to me. "OMG" Those were tickets to a movie called "Vedi". I was suprised. He said let be together for another 4 hours. We rarely get such happy long hours together alone. We loved those moments and want more time together.

Food was awesome. I love the combination we ordered and rushed to the screen which played "Vedi" . Though movie was an average flick, we thoroughly enjoyed the movie and each other making fun of the movie, munching pop corns.

I really admired the artwork done over the ceiling wall. Arty and classy. I felt screens were good but the stairs,lift , path to each floor are narrow and are prone to accidents. This should be considered by the management.

We were already tired but wanted to go a big ride. So from Purasivakkam we went to TNagar and then to our home. Long,speedy,cool bike ride.
